Well, I tried. A friend lent me his copy of this first book of the series. Having seen the advertisements for the upcoming movie of this name, I thought I'd read the series before seeing it.Made it to page 62 before giving up. I don't generally prefer this sort of story, but this seems worse than most. It was just too painful for me to continue to the end.
And so, it joins the ranks of the tried, but unread.
